BDSM 101
What is BDSM? It stands for bondage, discipline, sadism, and masochism, but what does that all really mean? If you enjoy being restrained, does that mean that you also like pain? If you enjoy being spanked, are you a masochist?
Plenty of people have written their thoughts on the matter, but I'm going to throw my opinion into the mix. I believe that, basically, everyone is different. That's it. There are plenty of BDSM how-to guides out there, and there's a wealth of information to be found on the internet, but... what BDSM means to one person does not have to be the same as what BDSM means to YOU.
You may be submissive without being a masochist. You can want me to hurt you, but not long to kiss my feet. You can crave discipline, even if you don't like pain. Hell, it's fine if you just want to experience the physical sensations of BDSM without any domination or submission. You just need to figure out what you like... and what you don't, without falling into the trap of thinking that since you like following orders and serving a beautiful woman, you MUST also want to be beaten.
Now, you may be wondering... what does BDSM mean to the lovely Mistress Adriana?
Well, I (like everyone else) am horribly complex. I began my journey into BDSM as a submissive. As time passed, I realized that I was a switch, and I began working at The Gates. There, I discovered my sadistic side. Now, what am I? In a nutshell, I'm a playful, compassionate, occasionally sadistic woman who enjoys power exchange. I still switch on occasion, and I especially enjoy roleplay sessions where I start out in a submissive role, then take control and exact "revenge". As a top, I'm not an ice queen, bitch, or Goddess. Basically, I just like having fun. And, topping people in creative and cruel ways is LOTS of fun.
